I am so grateful for your videos. I have made two very small business card baskets for when I sell my soaps at the market. Someone said they’d make good soap dishes, too.

Thank you very much Nancy for sharing your basket weaving knowledge with us all. I actually was trying to figure out how a saint that I had read about weaved his clothing from palm fronds. I just figured it must be similar to weaving a basket. Then was very fascinated by your educational video and watched them all the way through to the end. Thank you again. Bless!

Holy moley! Staining is so much fun! I hadn’t even thought about that step. I love a good multi-step project.

does this particular stain help prevent mold growth? As in is it water-resistant when dry?

  7. basketmasternancy says:

No, reed will mold if kept damp. It needs to remain dry. Also, No it is not water resistant when dry, it will still absorb water. Hope this helps! ;-)

Thank you Nancy for posting these videos. I’ve always wondered how to weave baskets and now have an excellent resource to guide me through my first attempts.

And! You did a wonderful job going through the step-by-step process for us. You are pleasant to watch and listen to and your instructions are simple, thorough and easy to understand even for beginners.

    Yay!
