Normally, we wouldn’t be having much fun making a soy candle. But because today we’re using “Sex on the Beach” fragrance oil, we’re having loads of fun!
Can you tell me why my soy candles are sinking when I burn them instead of burning straight across? Also, they have a bumpy texture on top they are not smooth like I’ve seen before??? I am using 100% SOY WAX
Your wicks may not be large enough 4 the container u r using (thats why u have a well)..always save a lil bit of wax after pouring, sometimes 2nd pours are necessary. Just pour along the top & you should have a nice surface. Or a hairdryer on a low setting can flatten it out 4 aesthetics. Hope this helps
For anyone wanting to make a good wonderful smelling soy candle first thing is 135 degrees is way to hot to pour for soy especially Golden Brands wax, and unfortunately these videos I have seen on you tube are not telling everything and it is so frustrating for the beginner candle maker. Every Fragrance & I mean Every one of them have a different temperature to add at. This is a good video but it is not telling the hole scoop!!
I actually made my first batch of candles ever last night with GB 464 and my scent throw is garbage for some reason, despite using 7-9% FO. Maybe I added the fragrance when it was too hot and also poured too hot… who knows.
I am having the same problem, I used GB464 and the throw is awful! Does not smell at all. Ilet it cure for over a week, what am I doing wrong?, spent alot of money…..HELP!!!!
Best results to making colored candles is to use a 100% soy wax (no additives) a liquid dye, heat wax until the wax has melted (between 155-160 degrees), add fragrance oil when wax has cooled between 110 and 108 degrees, then pour into the container. Best results is not to let the wax get too hot.
Hehe…

Can you use crayons for making candles? Because I’m about to use it to make some candles for All Saints Day. Please reply!
I think I have seen something about using crayons. Probably easiest to google it? Sorry I can’t help more, I’ve never done it myself.
Good tip – probably best to follow manufacturer’s instructions rather than the video

For best quality scent throw be sure to allow the candles to cure 4-5 days before burning.
Thank you. Its very useful

When I let the candle cool overnight does it help if I freeze the candle?
